Extending the Map of Possibility: Meet our Inaugural Atoms X Cohort backed by Accel and Prosus

For the next decade, the most important companies won’t just iterate on the present—they will fundamentally reshape how society works. We call this LeapTech: bold innovations that deliver step-change progress by combining scientific breakthroughs, engineering ambition, and real-world deployment.

The Atoms X initiative was formalised in October through Accel’s alliance with Prosus. This partnership underscores the belief that such ideas require years to mature and demand conviction rather than waiting for immediate consensus. Prosus Ventures matches Accel’s investment in every startup, combining early-stage conviction with long-term global capital to give founders the certainty they need to build without constraint from Day Zero.

Today, we are thrilled to unveil the six frontier companies, selected from over 2000 applications, which join our inaugural Atoms X cohort.

Meet the Cohort: Extending the Map of What's Possible

These companies are tackling foundational, long-horizon challenges across climate infrastructure, space access, and next-generation healthcare to deliver a step-function change in the human experience. Meet the cohort and the transformative leaps they are engineering:

1. Praan

• The Leap: Designing air for your physiology.
• The Mission: Rebuilding the Earth's 100-year-old air infrastructure, Praan has developed an end-to-end clean air system, from the atomic layer to the AI layer. Their purification stack captures particles 166x smaller and gases 7x faster than traditional systems, all while orchestrating temperature, humidity, pressure, and CO2.
• Founder: Angad Daryani.

2. Dognosis

• The Leap: Early stage cancer detection from breath. 
• The Mission: Dognosis digitizes and scales canine olfaction using a fusion of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), AI, and robotics. Their at-home breath test, BreathEasy, can detect multiple cancers with accuracies rivaling full-body MRIs, all from breathing into a simple face mask for 10 minutes.
• Founders: Akash Kulgod and Itamar Bitan.

3. Qosmic

• The Leap: Always-on connectivity between Earth and orbit. 100x faster than traditional RF systems at a fraction of a cost.
• The Mission: With thousands of satellites launching this decade and drowning in their own data, Qosmic is building the first vertically integrated optical communication platform. 
• Founders: Shreyaans Jain, Rohit Ramakrishnan, and Aloke Kumar.

4. EtherealX (Ethereal Exploration Guild)

• The Leap: The only rocket that enables high launch cadence and low launch costs.
• The Mission: The Guild is committed to shifting the currently unipolar space launch landscape to a multi-polar one. With full-vehicle reusability, precise landing capability, and a 72–96-hour turnaround, the vehicle is also strongly positioned for rocket-cargo.
• Founders: Manu J. Nair, Shubhayu Sardar, and Prashant Sharma.

5. Ferra

• The Leap: Longevity through home workouts.
• The Mission: Your body loses muscle every year after 40; Ferra brings a smart machine and a simple daily habit to your home to reverse your muscle loss.
• Founders: Rohit Patel and Anurag Dani.

6. [Stealth]

• The Leap: Computers controlled by thought.
• The Mission: Expanding the furthest boundaries of human-computer interaction, this stealth startup is developing advanced systems that allow technology to be controlled directly by human thought.

The Kickoff: Forging Resilience in Bengaluru

Just as the Accel Atoms AI Cohort 2026 kicked off with deep alignment sessions, we officially welcomed our LeapTech founders at a dedicated mixer in Bengaluru on March 23, 2026.

The day focused on more than just technology. Building a LeapTech startup is a grueling, long-horizon journey. To equip our founders for this, we hosted an exclusive session with elite performance coach Paddy Upton. This went beyond standard networking, as Paddy led a deep dive into psychological resilience and shared insights on leveraging team strengths to endure the inevitable challenges of uncharted territory.
