Our First Step Towards an Inclusive Ecosystem: Multilingual Support on Accel Atoms Website
121+ languages
19,500+ dialects
140,00,00,000+ people
India is diverse not just because of its population but also because of its many languages and dialects.
Over the last three years, we’ve had the privilege of speaking to thousands of founders across India and building across sectors and geographies.
We learnt one fundamental truth—founders don’t fit a framework, and no two founders are alike. Importantly, entrepreneurship is flourishing nationwide without barriers to knowing a specific language or dialect.
A great example is Niraj Singh, the Founder of Spinny. He grew up in Daltonganj, Jharkhand, and studied in a Hindi-medium school. He started learning English much later in life, and language has never been a barrier or held Niraj back!
Today, Spinny is a leader in the used car market, with over two lakh customers across India.
Several examples of founders have broken language barriers and gone on to build something great. Then the question becomes, “How do we build an inclusive ecosystem that enables the best founders and their ideas, irrespective of language?”
Inclusion starts at the foundations, and a step towards that is creating a website which reaches as many founders as possible.
Today, in addition to English, we’re introducing the Accel Atoms website in five new Indian languages in beta:
- Kannada
- Marathi
- Hindi
- Tamil
- Telugu
Accel Atoms is always in perpetual beta, and our new multilingual feature is the first in a series of steps towards building an inclusive ecosystem for all founders in India. We’d be grateful if you could share this with a founder who might find it helpful.
Please try it out now with the language toggle at the top of the website and share any feedback with us.
