Rupeek was founded by Sumit Maniyar. It is one of India's fastest-growing digital platforms for secured lending. Sumit changed the landscape of digital, asset-backed lending at VEF, and with Rupeek, he identified a very local answer to bridging the credit gap in India with their gold loan solution, in addition to having an incredible team.

From May 2010 until June 2012, he worked as an Associate in the Research Division of Religare Capital Markets Limited. At the firm, he was in charge of the coal and utility areas. Mr. Maniyar previously worked in the Research Division of JP Morgan Chase & Co. as an analyst.

After graduating from IIT Bombay, Sumit also cleared CFA III levels.
